The Shattering is a classic first-person walking simulator. The game is almost entirely black and white. When you hover the mouse over an important object, the cursor turns blue. Also, in a couple of moments, the red color will be encountered. Otherwise, the palette here consists of shades of gray. In The Shattering, the plot is divided into chapters. John Evans, suffering from amnesia, takes part in a psychological experiment to regain his memory. The writer travels through fragments of his own memories (including false ones). The hero constantly tries to restore the name of a certain girl in his head. In the prologue and between acts, he hears the voice of a psychologist. Gradually, the man begins to realize who he really is, and even learns his diagnosis.Gamers are allowed to determine the protagonist's reaction to certain events. For example, a character can break a glass and then begin to deny it, try to justify himself to himself, or take the incident for his imagination. There are no riddles here at all. There are no scary moments, like screamers, here.Surreal locations are constantly changing before the eyes of players. When interacting with objects, users will observe the appearance of some things and the disappearance of others in real time. The indie project takes 3-4 hours to complete. You can run it again to see what the choice system affects.
