The Suffering: Ties That Bind is a sequel to the first part, which continues the horror story of a guy named Tork. The protagonist escaped from prison during a riot that occurred during an attack by monsters on the building. In the final, the guy managed to kill the main monster and escape from the ill-fated place on a boat.The shooter starts from here - the hero goes to his hometown of Baltimore, where he sees an invasion of similar creatures. A real apocalypse is happening here: destroyed buildings, columns of smoke and cracks in the ground, trains are derailed, spider-like creatures attack people and cars, which one by one get into an accident, torn corpses of victims are everywhere. In addition to monsters, soldiers belonging to a mysterious organization that is trying to get Tork are hunting the hero. Progressing through the story, the user opens entries from three diaries, where there are descriptions of each monster and its characteristics, as well as the sights of Baltimore and the diary of the protagonist's beloved. The gameplay is typical for a hard action with elements of light puzzles. In the process, the hero runs, shoots and turns into a huge creature, wielding large claws. To transform, you need to accumulate a rage resource, and this ability allows you to take less damage and tear enemies apart with a couple of blows. It also awards upgrades in the form of combos for using transformation. Shootouts are conducted using shotguns, pistols, machine guns, where the character can move in two copies of weapons. A first aid kit for treatment is used on the spot - drugs cannot be carried. Opponents in the action are mostly old, but Arsonis appeared here, which throws ball lightning, causing huge damage.
