The protagonist of Thief Gold is a thief named Garrett, whose dexterity is enviable. As an orphan, the character earned his living as a child by stealing. During another theft, he was caught by the master of the mysterious Order of Guardians named Artemius, but instead of punishing him for the crime, he offered the young man to become an apprentice. After completing the training, the protagonist goes on a free voyage and again takes up dark deeds. After completing another order to steal a mysterious artifact, Garrett falls into the hands of cultists, who gouge out his eye for a ritual in honor of a dark otherworldly god. Now the hero of the Zif Gold project will have to sneak into the temple again to pull off a trick with the substitution of the artifact, disrupt the ceremony and prevent evil from penetrating the world. The user will have exciting story missions, during which he will have to sneak past the guards, distract their attention with various sabotage and rely on his own dexterity and ingenuity to slip through unnoticed. 5 new enemies have been added to the game, who can now notice the hero, hear, talk or call for help. Each type of enemy has a set of unique characteristics, which makes the gameplay much more difficult and varied. The thief relies not on brute force, but on cunning and stealth. Therefore, as weapons, a blackjack, a light sword and a bow with many types of arrows are available, each of which has its own use and characteristics. With their help, the player can set fire to objects or, on the contrary, extinguish fires, stretch ropes and much more to get into the most secret and guarded places and appropriate valuables for the sake of survival, as well as take revenge on enemies.
