ToeJam Earl: Back in the Groove! is a co-op-oriented arcade game based on classic representatives of the genre from the nineties. The protagonists and unique setting are taken from the original ToeJam Earl for Sega Genesis. The main roles are played by aliens who crashed on an unknown planet. While traveling around it, the heroes need to collect parts from the ship and repair it in order to continue to plow the universe on it. Players are offered a choice of 9 different characters. Each has different characteristics and appearance, which is not too noticeable due to the arcade nature of the adventure. FingerJam and Earl gently insists on co-op, which is possible both locally and online for 4 people. Friends can both help on the journey and frankly interfere for the sake of fun. The gameplay itself is an exploration of a huge open location. You can search for both plot details of the ship and collectibles. The fermentations are generously sprinkled with a bunch of mini-games, many of which are based on the mechanics of following the rhythm. Music, by the way, is also an important element of the game. The setting and even the name of the project revolve around it. You can collect a whole bunch of optional items in the locations. For example, hats, characters and even entire levels. In addition, many collectibles are well hidden. To open them, you will often need to fulfill certain conditions or have other items with you.
