Tomb Raider 2: The Dagger of Xian is an action adventure remake that was five years in the making by fans of the game. The storyline of the game leads Lara Croft through the remote mountain peaks of Tibet to the canals of Venice and even to the bottom of the sea, where she will have to find the main artifact - the Dagger of Xian. The story revolves around the mythical "Dagger of Xian", a weapon used by the Emperor of China to command his army. Legend has it that by plunging the dagger into its owner's heart, it can transform him into a ferocious, fire-breathing dragon. The final battle involving the dagger ended when warrior monks took the dagger from the Emperor - it was returned to its resting place inside the Great Wall. In the present day, Lara Croft explores an ancient legend at the ruins of the Great Wall. During the dangerous adventure, the player will not only encounter dark tunnels with deadly traps, but also crazy cult members who are plotting against you and are desperate to get their hands on the ancient artifact at any cost. While Lara Croft's body did not violate the laws of physics and human form in the first tomb raid, in Tomb Raider 2: The Dagger of Xian she looks more human, while unrealistically resilient body remains. Innovations in the game include new weapons, additional moves and a set of vehicles. The remake's environments are stunning, with gorgeous water simulation rendering, new fish models that react to player movement, a wide range of leaf interactions and volumetric lighting, and the option to highlight ledges for climbing with white stickers. Of course, you can turn it off if you prefer the old-school difficulty.
