Tooth and Tail is an entertaining real-time strategy game with an unusual setting and story. The game takes place in a fictional world inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. It's the 19th century, intelligent animals live in harmony, although there is one nuance - there are too many animals. To prevent them from dying of hunger, wise rulers came up with a solution: every season, depending on the results of the lottery, one of the species is put to meat, and the rest happily eat it. Naturally, those in power do not participate in it.This approach to solving the problem does not suit everyone. In Tooth and Tail there are 4 political groups, each of them offers its own way out of the crisis. These are the democrats Longcoats, the communists Commonfolk, the military junta KSR and the religious fanatics Civilized. The main differences between the factions are visible only in the story campaign, but otherwise they are similar to each other. Each of the opposing sides has 15 types of units, which differ from each other only in color. But they look funny, what are drunk squirrels with revolvers or fox snipers worth.The combat system in the game is simplified as much as possible. The player directly controls only the army general. With his help, he can capture new lands, build mills on them that provide food growth, and buildings that produce combat units. The commander can indicate a rally point next to him for the created army, and the fighters fight on their own.
