Severed body parts are needed for crafting. However, this does not affect the battle itself. If you cut off the enemy's wings, he will soon grow transparent analogues and begin to carry out attacks from the air again. A young beast hunter comes to the village of Utakata, which is bothered by monsters. He begins to help the locals and soon awakens a special power in himself. It allows the protagonist to connect with the souls of distant ancestors that were absorbed by monsters. These spirits are called Mitama. They can be freed to then place in blades or bows and gain new abilities. There are 300 Mitama in the game. The weapons themselves are divided into 9 classes, and each has its own combos. You are allowed to take up to 3 comrades with you on missions. In multiplayer, these will be live players, and in single-player mode, they will be replaced by computer-controlled characters. The more often the protégé goes hunting with NPCs, the stronger the connection between them becomes. If you pump up relations to the maximum, then as a reward the NPC will give a rare material needed to craft unique weapons.
