Train Sim World: CSX Heavy Haul is a railroad simulator where the gamer learns the skills of driving heavy freight locomotives. Realistic graphics, high detailing of the driver's cabin with the ability to use virtually all levers and buttons for their intended purpose - these are not all the advantages of the game. Realistic lighting is implemented here, the environment is reflected on all kinds of surfaces that get wet from snow and rain, cloudy, foggy, rainy weather.In the process, the user will be able to drive along a picturesque section of the railroad 160 km long, which is located in the states of Maryland and Pennsylvania in the Allegheny Mountains - Sand Patch Grade. Moving on the trains of the CSX Transportation company, the user will overcome sharp turns and a huge climb of 300 km. Locomotives in the railway simulator are freight locomotives designed for 100 cars. These are diesel electric locomotives GP38-2, SD40-2, AC4400CW from Electro-Motive Division. It is necessary to transport not passengers, but cargo, for example, containers and tanks, as well as coal, so there are no special schedules or timetables provided here.The simulation of the process is recreated clearly, for example, it is necessary not only to use the available levers-buttons, which are responsible for a lot of control functions, but also to start a cooled diesel locomotive, the user must perform at least a dozen manipulations both in the cabin and with the outside of the transport. The player moves freely around the vehicle, can climb stairs, walk across the bridge, walk along the cars, get off and just walk around the area, independently move the railway switches. Even minimal actions are subject to simulation - you can open a window, control the windshield wipers, turn on the light, heater, contact the control room. Refueling the locomotive is also done manually at stations, where the user unscrews the cap of the gas tank, takes the nozzle and installs it by unscrewing the valve. Loading coal is also done by the gamer. To complete different types of tasks, the game provides training scenarios.
