Troll and I is a touching Scandinavian fairy tale in which two creatures from different worlds are destined to meet and eat a pound of salt together. Otto belongs to the human race, but his house ended up in the hands of ruthless bandits who proclaimed themselves hunters, and his mother was left alone in a burning village. The second hero is a creature from legends and a coveted trophy for greedy fools - a giant shaggy Troll, who is considered a cannibal. Both the boy and the monster are acutely aware of their loneliness in exile, but one day a chance meeting opens a path for them together. The friends have to find a new home, embarking on a long and dangerous journey. The gameplay of Troll and I is focused on exploring the open world and is diversified by elements of stealth and puzzles. Combat mechanics imply action in tandem, where the player uses the characters' abilities, switching between them during the game. Otto carries out pinpoint attacks and is able to deftly hide from enemy patrol, while his shaggy friend inflicts massive damage in close combat. The troll is also good as a means of transport: at the first request, the beast lifts the boy onto its shoulder, providing access to platforms located on an elevation. In this way, friends move faster, and the physically weak protagonist becomes less vulnerable to the omnipresent enemy. The project's downsides include crude optimization and boringly played out backtracking. Locations seem empty due to lazy detailing of the environment. A crooked viewing angle prevents quick adaptation after changing characters. This drawback is especially noticeable when the camera is rebuilt onto the bulky carcass of the Troll.
