Tsugunai: Atonement tells the story of the journey of Reize, a Raven, drawn into a fateful search for redemption. Having caused divine wrath in search of an ancient treasure, Reize faces the consequence: the separation of body and soul. To atone for his guilt, kindness and courage become his currency. He is tasked with helping a seaside village, and he uses a unique ability - obsession - to help residents overcome difficulties, ultimately protecting the settlement from impending doom. The campaign unfolds through approximately 35 quests, some focusing on key characters, while others delve deeper into the lives of the villagers. Combat missions highlight key characters, moving the narrative forward after their completion. Each triumph changes the dynamics of the village, opening the way for new quests and storylines. While there is a variety of characters, there is a fair degree of mechanics, with the exception of differences in weapon capabilities. Regardless of the possessed host, magical mastery, additional equipment, and inventory items are retained across quests, providing a consistent experience for Reyza. Help is created based on possession to overcome difficulties. Features original story quests that impact the dynamics of the village, as well as a variety of characters with similar mechanics. There are permanent magical abilities, equipment and items to unlock.
