The main character of Unforgiving - A Northern Hymn, Lynn, comes to her senses tied up in the back seat of a car rushing in an unknown direction. To her surprise, she finds her own brother behind the wheel. The girl's attempts to get out lead to an accident, and they find themselves in the middle of dense northern forests. It turns out that the guy wanted to help her in the fight against drug addiction, and take her to an isolated place. But now their slow descent into the depths of an irrational nightmare will begin, because among the trees something worse than inner demons awaits them.Unforgiving - A Northern Hymn is a first-person horror game developed by an indie studio. The plot is steeped in Scandinavian folklore. Players will visit different locations - huts, a river, an abandoned village, a mine. Each of them contains notes and objects that shed light on the events taking place, and provides information about the creatures that can be found in the forest. Myths come to life in this story, and the protagonist will encounter ghosts, trees inhabited by souls, a bloodthirsty troll and other creatures from the world of darkness. The main character cannot protect himself, so he needs to hide and run away from enemies. Only matches are available from the inventory, slightly illuminating the path, and a magic harp capable of opening sealed doors, which is implemented in the mini-game. Sound design and tense musical accompaniment complement the already creepy atmosphere.
