The action of Vessels of Decay takes place in the vastness of medieval Scandinavia. The setting is an adventure with elements of a turn-based strategy. The plot revolves around the arrival of Decay from the depths of the earth, replacing the lost human civilization. The heroes of the retro action movie Mad and Freya wander through the overgrown ruins of the post-apocalyptic northern peninsula. The once flourishing land is captured by monsters and mythical creatures characteristic of Scandinavian folklore. Vessels of Decay features a variable combat system. The nature of the death of enemies and protagonists depends on the user's actions. Epic multi-stage battles with bosses feature dizzying dynamics. To defeat each enemy, unique finishers have been developed taking into account vulnerabilities. The gameplay, combining heated battles with exploration of space, is complemented by thematic musical accompaniment. It is possible to change weapons and equipment. The protagonists have to overcome obstacles using tight ropes. Battles take place on river banks, in snowy valleys, in green meadows, surrounded by tall trees. Battles use combo attacks and available skills, which allows you to create unique combat combinations. The player takes care of his own farm, which serves as a shelter and a source of food for restoring health.
