The winner is determined by judges who award points based on the program shown, which can include all sorts of combinations and individual tricks. The camera in each of the presented gameplay options is located at a distance from the virtual protégé (male or female is selected before the start of the swim), and can be freely controlled in order to admire the tropical landscapes. By playing Virtual Surfing, the gamer unlocks new items for customizing the character and surfboard, which helps to stand out among the participants.
