War for the Overworld is a technically imperfect, but still playable development from fans of the unknown project Dungeon Keeper. As in the original game, the gamer is transformed into an ambitious entity, commanding all diligent evil spirits, and striving for world domination, in order to create comfortable conditions for his protégés - motley monsters rejected by decent society. The latter is represented by an annoying alliance of paladins and all sorts of knights of light, trying to destroy the underground dormitory of the Lord of Darkness. To keep the forces of good out of the way, the base should be properly equipped: build barracks where goblins will train, launch forges in which vomiters will be at the furnace, and allocate a library for archives for studying new sins similar to human technologies. Each room functions for the benefit of the evil empire, generating deadly mechanisms that protect the walls of their native dungeon. Colossal damage to enemies is caused by cunningly placed combination traps. However, soldiers well stimulated by the whip are also suitable for repelling enemy wave attacks.Users have access to a map editor, as well as six game modes: campaign, network game, battles, scenarios, deathmatch and the My Pocket Dungeon expansion. Achievement hunters will be pleased with one and a half hundred achievements. Protective structures, poisons, spells, ritual curses and the entire arsenal of vileness that a self-respecting villain has will help draw a clear line between the heroes of the upper world and the inhabitants of the dark fortress.
