Warbanners is a wargame in a fantasy setting. Here they offer to command a squad of mercenaries that fights the undead. The fighting squad is replenished with newcomers as you progress. Fighters can be pumped up, but they cannot replace weapons. Creating a main character and determining a banner for the team is also not allowed. Customization is completely absent.The tactical turn-based strategy Warbanners takes into account morale, endurance, lighting and other factors. However, when you hover the cursor over an enemy, the game does not display the chance of hitting. But this TBS with role-playing elements shows what bonus or penalty to the characteristics a unit will receive on any of the cells. The battlefield consists of hexagons. The landscape can be slightly changed. Here you can build bridges, dig ditches, erect barricades and freeze water.The plot is presented as text between tasks. Sometimes you are given a choice of answer, for which you can get a useful bonus or impose a debuff. There are 42 missions themselves. They usually ask you to reach the desired point or destroy all enemies. Before the start of the campaign, you are given the choice of difficulty level and the degree of randomness. There is also a tutorial. The project is absolutely linear. There is no open world and freedom of action here. All melee soldiers have only one hit. Archers, in addition to the standard attack, are able to shoot fire arrows. With their help, you can blow up powder kegs and set fire to trees (they are also allowed to chop them down).
