The plot develops in a fictional galactic empire - the Imperium of Mankind. The main enemies, the orcs, invaded the planet, so the main character will have to accept the battle and lead the defense of his native lands. The gamer can command subordinate fighters, choose a strategy and tactics for defense or attack. Under his command are:

• Blood Angels - carry out shock attacks and strong decapitation strikes; used in special missions, not conventional wars.
• Ultramarines - apply planetary blockade, force enemies to submit, carry out a general attack.
• Salamanders - protect civilians, conduct blockades, carry out intensive offensives.
