Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Dark Crusade immerses you in a frantic racial struggle for the energy resources of Kronus, a world consisting of twenty-two provinces. Seven races fight for world domination, capturing fortresses in the non-linear single-player campaign mode, or in an online server designed for multiplayer action for up to eight participants. The gameplay is represented by real-time battles, in which the player has a starting base and some resources. Moving around the map, the hero, leading the people, attacks neighboring provinces, expanding the state territory and increasing power. Two new factions have been added to the project - Tau and Necrons. The latter are a local version of the imbalanced undead, awakened in the depths of an underground tomb, due to the noise of restless living neighbors. The rest - the Imperial Guard, Space Marines, Eldar, Orks and Chaos - remained true to their ideas and gods. Each is eager to reshape the world order to suit their own ideals, not wanting to give in to competitors. In the personalization menu, the player can customize the appearance and individual abilities of the hero. Increasing influence opens access to improved weapons and equipment, and also allows you to transform the appearance of the army, choosing recognizable standards, insignia and colors of uniforms. In battle, it is important to monitor not only the external prestige of the army, but also the morale of the soldiers. To prevent units from becoming cowardly and taking less damage, the squad needs sergeants who maintain discipline with their presence.
