Warhammer 40,000: Regicide - another variation on the theme of the popular gaming universe, which is a virtual chess, where space marines fight orcs on a lined field. Frankly speaking, only the name remains from Warhammer: the game is a simulator of a chessboard with animated figures corresponding to the classical hierarchy: King, Queen, six courtiers and eight pawns. The only obvious difference from the usual scenery will be talkative warriors commenting on each player's move, and bloody violence.Warhammer 40,000 has two modes: Regicide and Classic. The first is distinguished by a two-phase dynamic battle, where tactical maneuvers are combined with frontal attacks. In the second, you can hone your grandmaster skills, playing against artificial intelligence or online with other gamers. In addition to the competitive element, there is a story campaign of fifty missions, the completion of which is awarded with prize points. For this currency, the appearance of characters can be customized. The features of the project are listed below:
- Instead of black and white faceless soldiers, two races are available to choose from, where each type of warrior has strengths and weaknesses that will have to be taken into account in battle.
- Eleven orders and clans are unlocked during the gameplay.
- The results of the competition can be viewed on the leaderboard.
- The cunning of the AI is regulated by five difficulty levels in the settings menu.
The arena where the battle takes place is rotated with the Q and E keys. You can zoom in or out by scrolling the mouse wheel. When the figures collide in a duel, a short cutscene with cool fatalities is launched. No turn-based strategy has ever offered so much meat.
