Warlock 2: The Exiled is a world floating in a foggy space, representing an archipelago of green islands rich in resources. The player's task is to settle on one of these islands with a capital city as the center, and then gradually expand their political influence, subjugating new territories and protecting the growing empire from enemies encroaching on its borders. Parts of the Warlock 2 universe are connected by portal bridges. They will have to be found by reconnaissance, facing various difficulties and respawning fantastic creatures.Having strengthened your position in the central city, you can start training your army. Soldiers will come in handy for capturing other people's cities and defending the walls of your own fortresses. Managing a state is difficult: in order for the united lands to prosper, you need to focus on developing the city infrastructure and simultaneously subjugating neighboring regions. Some administrative areas will exist autonomously from the control center: for example, settlements dedicated to some god. In such places, you cannot build buildings, but they will bring a resource one way or another - gold, food, mana or protection.In the start menu, the size of the global map is adjusted, and the victory conditions and the number of opponents are set. In total, three game modes are available: the main story, sandbox and network. Also, before the start of the campaign, the player must choose a race and a military commander - one of six mage rulers. The hero can be created in the editor, manually selecting perks and spells from the proposed list.
