Warmonger: Operation Downtown Destruction - first-person shooter. The game takes place in the apocalyptic reality of 2029, when global civil wars took place. The player takes control of a soldier participating in a planetary military conflict, the main actors of which are two huge corporations - PolyChem Oil and General Energy. Although there is a struggle for control over Iran's oil reserves, the theater of military operations is in the United States. The fighter works mainly in the urbanized zone, trying to dominate individual sectors of the city that play a key role in the war. You have to shoot at enemies in claustrophobic tunnels, on wide streets, dark alleys. The idea behind the game is to wreak utter destruction in a virtual environment that looks and functions very naturally. The developers allowed to destroy almost every element of the environment (with the necessary efforts there are no problems even with comparing large-sized buildings with the ground), and the process occurs in real time, without any pre-executed scripts. Also, much attention was paid to such nuances as the occurrence of shock waves after explosions. The creators pleased with the technologies used to create this creation. The third-generation Unreal Engine is used to render three-dimensional graphics, and PhysX algorithms are responsible for virtual physics. The spectacular effect of the latter is noticeable not only when shooting from rifles or grenade launchers, but also when moving in vehicles.
