Wave of Darkness is a game with an open world, many locations, crafting and pumping options, as well as the ability to save at any time. The character's abilities can be reset to make a new selection, sharpened for a different tactic. The inventory is limited: the hero carries essential items with him, leaving free cells for fresh supplies. Herbs are used to brew medicinal potions, water in wells speeds up the healing of wounds. The protagonist himself, of course, is called to serve good and is burdened with saving the entire world. Wave of Darkness is a boring research expedition with periodic cleansing of territories from various enemies. The plot is banal: the Ancient Evil can’t sleep again, dark forces are capturing the lands of peaceful humanity, pastorally huddled in medieval settlements, but the Chosen One is about to appear, blah-blah-blah The player starts at the docks of one of these cities, where a tutorial takes place, teaching the mechanics of interaction with the environment. Having attained Zen, the rootless vagabond is kicked off into the vastness of a fantasy universe called Narr. His only task, spread over 70 hours of gameplay, will be the extermination of bandits, evil spirits and elite scum poisoning civilization.Movement is carried out using LMB. By holding it, the player can lead the character, indicating the direction with the cursor. The right mouse button changes the viewing angle, and the wheel zooms in on the textures, if someone suddenly wants to take a closer look at the wooden animation and tiny silhouettes. The game has a rather inconvenient small interface and a virtual lack of plot, making the gameplay empty.
