The horror Whispers in the Dark has the most depressing atmosphere that can scare many. The protagonist is a burner of life, whose earnings were based on petty thefts in supermarkets and breaking into deserted houses. And this time, everything started and was supposed to end as usual. Driving past Salem, the protagonist sees an inconspicuous store surrounded by a dark forest and loses touch with reality. Having come to his senses inside the shopping center (how he ended up there remains a mystery), he overhears a conversation between the store employees about the owner hiding a large sum of money in a supermarket safe, which is not guarded at night. Isn't that luck? In complete darkness, armed with only a flashlight, which is not particularly capable of helping with its small stream of light, you need to find money (or at least an exit). The atmosphere in the game is oppressive because of the black abyss and the unknown. At any second you can stumble upon dangerous places or unfriendly inhabitants of the store. It will not be possible to fight off attacks, since there are no weapons in Whispers in the Dark, so you will have to look for secluded places in order to hide and wait out the moment. The entire gameplay consists of walking around the rooms, examining the environment and solving various puzzles. Along the way, you can find sheets of paper with frightening text, from which you can understand what happened to people in this terrible place.
