For single play there is a campaign, single missions and quick battles against bots. Multiplayer game is also present. You can clash with a real opponent via the global network or in hotseat mode.To play in the campaign it is necessary to complete the training missions, at least the first one with receiving a bronze star. The missions in the story scenario have become more diverse. Now it is not always necessary to kill opponents. There are missions where you need to overcome the playing field of the location and get to the chest with the reward. Or levels where the player will control only 1 worm. Enemy worms are divided into several classes, each with its own type of weapon and individual combat tactics.
