Rally Evolved changes the gameplay significantly with the introduction of a dynamic random events engine. This feature adds unexpected hazards by forcing you to overcome a variety of obstacles that randomly appear along the track. These hazards range from rocks falling from cliffs, animals running across the road unexpectedly, to sudden water spills from rivers or pipes that make the road surface slippery. Surprisingly, some of these random events can work to the player's advantage. Meeting other AI drivers on the track, although infrequent as in the real WRC, provides an opportunity to strategically outdo them, gaining an advantage in the competition. In addition, the navigator provides timely information about other cars, sometimes signaling incidents when rivals crash or retire, as evidenced by crashed or overturned cars on the side of the track.WRC: Rally Evolved introduces a new set of vehicles, including historical ones such as the Ford RS200, Renault 5 Turbo and Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 E2. In quick races, gamers move around a randomly selected stage with a randomly selected car and driver. Throughout the race, users aim to beat the time, although this is not necessary to progress. The target time changes dynamically: initially it is set as a timer for the first attempt, and then replaced by a personal best in a specific class if it is exceeded.
