Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style is a tournament-style fighting game, the action of which takes place in a world where the ancient discipline of kung fu Wu-Tang has enormous power. Players are immersed in the story of a group of martial artists who learn from Master Xin, the last practitioner of Wu-Tang. When Xin is captured by the villainous Mong Zhu, the Wu-Tang clan embarks on a journey to rescue their master and stop Zhu's plans for world domination.Users engage in intense combat across a variety of locations, including Staten Island, mainland New York, and China. The story unfolds through dramatic encounters with Mong Zhu's minions as the clan fights its way to its ultimate goal. With each victory, players get closer to confronting Mong Zhu and unraveling the secrets of Wu-Tang. Matches feature two to four fighters, either individually or in team matches. Gamers control stylized versions of Wu-Tang clan members, as well as a diverse list of fictional fighters, and each of them has unique abilities and fighting styles. The combat mechanics are a mix of punches, kicks, blocks and squats typical of 3D fighting games, but with the added stress of limited lives. The intensity increases as gamers have to strategically manage their lives, respawning after each defeat, but risking disappearing forever if they run out of their last life.
