XCOM 2 tells about the future of the Earth 20 years after the end of the first part. Aliens managed to defeat and enslave humanity. The user flies around the globe, hires recruits, fights aliens and their allies in a turn-based tactical mode, studies technologies, produces new equipment, improves your squad. Time is running out as the invaders build a secret project that poses a danger to all people little by little every day.
