Yesterday Origins is the second part of the adventure game of the same name, which focuses on the protagonist's past. John Yesterday is the protagonist, an immortal specialist in the occult and satanic affairs. The guy has an unusual ability - thanks to the devil's sciences, he is resurrected after each death. However, after this, the character loses his memory, unlike his girlfriend named Pauline. The story starts in the 15th century, the Spanish Inquisition considers the guy guilty of witchcraft, so it prepares him for torture. The storyline is constantly transferred from that era to our time - even having found an important item in the present, John ends up in the past, where it is shown why he is so important to John. Half a century ago with a guy who experimented with alchemy, managed to get immortality, but the transmutation suffered a side effect - the hero does not remember his previous lives. Now a couple of characters are looking for an artifact to conduct a satanic ritual, while fighting a dangerous enemy who can reveal their secret. The gameplay sets the task of conducting dialogues with different characters, exploring rooms, collecting useful items that immediately go into the inventory, solving logical problems. From dialogues, the player receives information about the past of the heroes. The player can use not only objects, but also fragments of phrases and memories, which together will help solve puzzles that are not limited to just a combination of items. The protagonist can pick up and scroll all active objects, which sometimes helps to solve the problem. Some of these items have a couple of hotspots that you have to interact with, for example, on statues of such hotspots up to 10.
