Yoku's Island Express

Yoku's Island Express is an unusual adventure quest in two-dimensional space. The little-known studio Villa Gorilla was involved in the development of this project. The official release came in late spring 2018.

We, a small creature named Yoku, arrive on the stunningly beautiful (and hand-drawn) island of Makumana to awaken the ancient deity of this place..

In order to make what we want in reality, we will need to go through a dangerous adventure, fight with many malevolent opponents, establish a real mail connection on the island and make friends with the local game mechanics, which is a cross between paintball and classic platformer.

A completely open world adds interest to this adventure, many non-linear locations, in which many interesting surprises are hidden for the player. Pleasant two-dimensional graphics and general non-trivial atmosphere of the game set the proper mood that does not let go from the very beginning, and until the last final scenes of this objectively interesting project, called Yoku's Island Express.
