Ys Origin combines several fundamental mechanics at once, which subsequently form the backbone of the gameplay. This is, first of all, a role-playing element, as well as a deep story component, complemented by the ability to freely explore the world. The events unfold 700 years before the events of the first two parts, when the world was on the verge of destruction. Demons burst in here, forcing the Twins, who rule this world, to get out of here. A fierce battle ensued, as a result of which the goddesses were forced to hide in the Devil's Tower. Now, users have to go a long way to find the fugitives. The introductory part of Ys Origin is accompanied by a large number of inserts and video fragments, where the history of the world is actually told. After this, the main part of the gameplay begins, where the heroine (her name is Yunika) travels around the world. In total, there are three characters to choose from, each of which has its own characteristics and distinctive features. This applies to battles to a greater extent, because dialogues and story development will remain at the same level. The combat system consists of two basic phases - magical and physical, using cold weapons. Techniques can be combined to inflict more damage, and the intended combination will work, this can literally erase the opponent from the map.It is especially important to use this trump card at high difficulty levels, where each unit inflicts significant damage, and is also endowed with fairly high health and armor indicators. During the upgrade, players are able to enhance individual techniques or qualities of their hero, making him practically unattainable for low-level opponents. And if the storyline does not bring due pleasure, you can try yourself in the arena, where crowds of creatures will fiercely attack the controlled character.
