In 8Doors: Arums Afterlife Adventure, the plot is based on Korean folk tales about the afterlife. A platformer with elements of metroidvania invites you to try on the image of a girl named Arum, who goes to the other world in search of her father. The gamer will have to fight enemies, realized as restless souls, and also help lost spirits, moving through 8 different locations, trying to unravel the secrets hidden inside.One day, a whole series of accidents passes through the country. Father Arum also becomes one of the victims, so the girl decides to go to the other world to find out the reasons and save the soul of a loved one. The user is offered to explore 8 different areas of purgatory, which are full of obstacles and all sorts of dangers that are encountered along the way. During the battle, combo attacks are used, as well as dodges, with the help of which the protagonist deals with 36 types of enemies, and using special attacks, he fights back 21 powerful bosses. Here are also offered 7 types of weapons - a scythe, a sword, a mace, a lantern, an umbrella, a bow, a fan, which are combined using skills and passives. The game itself is made in the afterlife setting in an oriental style. The plot is based on folk legends, which are full of different concepts and non-standard characters. The visual style is designed in only three colors - black, white and red. All characters are hand-drawn using 2D frame-by-frame animation.
