The user in Abandon Ship will try on the role of the captain of the ship, which is given to him at his complete disposal. The adventure will send the player to explore the mysterious sea spaces with procedural generation, during which it is necessary to look for treasures and engage in battles with enemies. The main feature is that after the sinking of the ship, the captain can escape on a boat, and therefore - take another ship. Among the modes, there is a Story Campaign, where in addition to the main one there are 3 additional ones, as well as free passage.The player will choose a difficulty mode, among which the hardcore iron mode is available. The gamer controls the ship, the crew, moving between regions in which it is necessary to encounter and go through a separate number of random events. Only after this the next region opens. There are 3 maps - world, region and battle, where there are points of interest - those same events - story missions, combat fights, obtaining or losing resources. Some locations have pirates, while others have separate conditions. Between missions and battles, the user repairs his watercraft and purchases equipment in ports.During battles, crew members are assigned to perform specific tasks, such as repairs after damage, loading guns. Here, parts of the enemy ship that will be damaged by weapons are also marked. Among the weapons, there are guns, mortars with poisoned ammunition, chain guns, grapeshot, bombs and lightning guns. You can fight in long-range combat or board the enemy, where the battles already take place according to the canons of RTS - the user chooses his fighter, whom he sends to the marked enemy. Team members have different professions with different bonuses - doctors heal, gunners skillfully load weapons, and marines are excellent in battles. The battle is paused if the user needs to give an order.
