In Anima Gate of Memories, the player controls two characters - a mysterious girl chosen to save the world from the apocalypse, and a powerful demon assisting the church novice in her difficult mission. The plot begins with the appearance of the heroine in a dimension represented by a tower of memories, inhabited by small evil spirits guarding the approaches to the five great monsters - the bosses of the game. Each defeated colossus destroys one protective seal from the demonic assistant, weakening his defense, and at the same time sharpening the senses of the remaining monsters.The gameplay of Anima Gate of Memory is presented by battles in cramped, uncomfortable arenas, diluted with puzzles and dull dialogue inserts. In combat, the player switches between two game characters, using the individual abilities of each, and earning experience points, which are later spent on upgrading the heroes and obtaining new abilities. The upgrade and equipment are slightly different: the female character is lighter and more maneuverable, but the demonic personality is physically stronger and more resilient than the refined churchwoman.The game has several outcomes, and two endings are made with humor. The fate of the heroes depends on their actions and speeches, and the ending - on the decisions made by the player. The levels are stuffed with secret rooms in which you can find bonus weapons and interesting things.
