Avernum 2: Crystal Souls

Avernum 2: Crystal Souls is an RPG set in the underground country of Avernum, located deep beneath the earth's surface. The rest of the world is under the control of a single power - the Empire, led by dictator Hawthorne. The Emperor sent unnecessary or unwanted people into volcanic caves. Strangely, the exiled managed to survive, regroup and kill the ruler. The second part starts with a retaliatory strike by the Empire, which invades Avernum, killing everyone who the Imperials encounter along the way. The gamer's goal is to stop the enemy. In the process, the character will have to go through hundreds of cities and dungeons, caves, fighting and completing 3 different missions with dozens of side quests. The hero will master more than 6 dozen spells, learn new abilities, receive hundreds of magical artifacts. The underground world is home to a variety of races, including aliens.At the start, the user selects a character class with starting skills, and in the process the hero can be taught 28 different skills. For example, the ward will learn to use firearms and melee weapons, study secret knowledge and magic. Among the spells there is damage infliction, call for reinforcements, create a curse and blessing, conduct healing rituals. The battles in the game are turn-based, where each fighter acts in turn, moving, attacking or using skills.
