The events take place in a fictional world inhabited by various thinking creatures.The main protagonist of the story is Jade. This is a journalist living on the planet Hillis. The inhabitants of Beyond Good and Evil have huge problems: the planetoid is regularly attacked by space pirates, who take the local population into slavery. They are opposed by government troops - Alpha Security, though unsuccessfully. In addition, the local resistance begins to suspect the military of collusion with the star bandits. To find out the truth, they hire a girl. From this moment, the gameplay begins.At first, the girl, along with her uncle Page, travels across the waters of the planet and meets with residents to collect evidence. Along the way, they encounter enemies with whom they must fight. Since the main character is a reporter, she collects money for ship upgrades in a rather original way. She has an agreement with a scientific center, to which she sends photographs of rare representatives of the local fauna for a fee. The traveler also collects pearls. There are a limited number of them in the game - 88. Part of the treasures can be bought, the second can be found during travels, solving simple puzzles.
