Blacksea Odyssey puts the player in control of an epic, long-bearded captain who harpoons space fish and chthonic horrors - a sort of Ahab chasing a trophy the size of Moby Dick or a Dubai skyscraper. Cutting through the cold, dark depths on a maneuverable ship, the captain delights in tearing off pieces of galactic monsters, multiplying by zero both the various small fry that swirl on the screen and occupy only a quarter of the monitor with their bodies, and the real colossuses, whose endless carcasses will have to be chopped into sardines during the entire level. The gameplay is exciting and fascinating: most enemies do not want to die ingloriously and fiercely resist. The eagle-man, conquering the depths of the universe, is armed with spears, which can shoot smaller game to death, and a harpoon. The latter is used as heavy artillery when you need to cut off the tail of some difficult-to-dismember beast. The anchored part of the monster can only be amputated, since it automatically becomes invulnerable to conventional weapons. Without a snout or fin, the giant will die faster, so regular use of a harpoon is recommended by the Space Whalers Association. The game also has a set of modifiers for hunting gear and a ship. Some increase the rate of fire, others work as a sniper scope. Transport, having swallowed a magic rune, is able to accelerate, throw fireballs and resurrect in case of failure in a fight with a formidable boss like Cthulhu.
