Cabelas Hunting Expeditions invites the player to hunt in the vast expanses of North America and the African savannah. The start menu has two gameplay modes: quick hunt and career. In the first case, the character moves in the open world, using a special skill - hunting sense, to detect animals. The second option is a professional career, which allows you to cash in the obtained trophies and buy different models of rifles and weapon attachments with the money.Controlling the character, the player watches what is happening on the screen from a third person. In the sight mode, the camera runs towards the player to make it easier to shoot. Before firing from cover at the next victim, the hunter calculates the distance, determines the approximate age of the animal and its type. When picking up a carcass, he receives a table with an assessment of his skill, which indicates the number of shots, the place where the bullet hit, score points and a bonus for accuracy if the blow hit right in the heart. You won't have to search for animals for a long time, and the hunt itself is more like a walk through a nature reserve. In just half an hour of gameplay, you can collect a couple dozen trophies. Depending on the geographical location of the hunting grounds, nature will look different: there are snowdrifts on the Canadian border, sparse vegetation in hot yellow Africa, and a tropical paradise in Mozambique. For each goal, the hunter develops a special tactic: carefully selects a place, takes into account the wind direction so that the prey does not sense a threat. In addition, in Hunting Trips you can use transport to travel long distances.
