CHERNOBYL: The Untold Story takes the player to 1986, during the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident. The story begins with a disaster announcement, after which the protagonist puts on a chemical protection suit and goes to the scene of the emergency, to the city of Pripyat. A curious fact is revealed at the scene - the protagonist is indeed a liquidator, but he is not destroying the consequences of the release from the nuclear power plant, but a biological threat. After the explosion, a crowd of radioactive evil spirits appeared in the town. It is with them that the character of the game project fights.Conventionally, the game CHERNOBYL: The Untold Story can be divided into two parts. The first is a journey between combat locations. During this time, the player can explore the surroundings and listen to the stories of normal local residents and rescuers eliminating the consequences of the nuclear release. There are several main points on the map. This is a junkyard, a hospital, an amusement park, a police station, a cinema and a school. When visiting key points, the player will find himself in combat arenas. They are somewhat reminiscent of old shooting games. The character will have a Makarov pistol in his hands, from which he will shoot crowds of attacking monsters. The process is hardcore, so you need to shoot accurately, both at enemies and at objects flying at the liquidator. Bonuses that periodically appear on the screen will make the game easier. This can be a first aid kit or a timer that slows down time. However, you need to select them with caution. Often, instead of useful goodies, debuffs will fly in, which, on the contrary, take away units of life, and slow down the aim.
