Dark Sector actions unfold in the surrealist country of Lasria. Once upon a time there was a flash of an unknown and deadly virus. Infected creatures quickly turned into dangerous mutants. The skin and skin gradually changed to steel, and mutants received new abilities. The authorities immediately introduced the troops and suppressed the virus, and some creatures exposed to the virus were taken to secret laboratories for further study. Mesner became a traitor due to selfish goals. The access of the CIA agent provided the entrance to the closed laboratory. He released some creatures and again spread the virus in Lasria. He was supposed to be eliminated by Hayden Tenno, a US Army soldier. During the mission, he became infected, and his hand became covered in metal. He gained new supernatural abilities. Instead of a hand, he received a special throwing weapon, a glaive. He will have to go through numerous opponents and monsters to eliminate the virus and kill the traitor. The gamer will take control of Hayden and will observe the world around him from a third-person view. It is possible to hide behind any cover, look out from behind them and shoot to protect yourself from opponents' attacks. No health bar. The redder the screen, the less HP the Tenno has left. The main weapon is a glaive, which is a mixture of a boomerang and a shuriken. After throwing, the glaive returns to the central character's hand. There are also other melee and ranged weapons. Items picked up from opponents will self-destruct after some time.
