In Darkest of Days, the story revolves around the Kronotek corporation. The company is engaged in time travel. You will need to control Alexander Maurice. He is an American soldier fighting against the Indians in the late 19th century. During the Battle of Little Bighorn, the protagonist gets a leg wound. Kronotek agents, having arrived in the past from the future, decide to save the warrior. They recruit Alexander, and now he works for them. He will fight together with the corporation against the Opposition organization. Its members also know how to travel in time. They use this opportunity to create paradoxes. Oppositionists kill important historical figures, politicians and heads of state. Alexander Maurice does not work alone in Darkest of Days - he is accompanied by a Kronotek agent, Dexter. His favorite accessory is a cowboy hat. Together they travel to different times and complete tasks. The single player campaign is divided into separate missions. In each, the goal is the same: you need to save a historical figure. To do this, the protagonist and his assistant have a pistol and a rifle. In parallel, you will need to complete side missions. To neutralize enemies, you will need to blow up buildings and bridges, clear areas. Some opponents, although they pose a threat to life, are prohibited from being destroyed. They may be important people for history. If a person has a blue glow, you should not shoot at him. The mission will not fail, but the player will lose points. Special nanobots are used to safely disarm them.
