Dead or Alive Xtreme 2, like its predecessor, features a two-week vacation mode where you can do various things throughout the day. In addition, each character has a preferred color, which affects how they react to a particular item or its packaging. Strengthening bonds with other female characters involves gifting them valuable items from the island's various shops, participating in activities such as pool diving, and engaging in playoff battles. These interactions serve to deepen the bonds between characters. Beach volleyball, a major feature of the original game, returns with minor adjustments. Requires a partner for two-on-two matches with the goal of scoring seven points. Gameplay requires more manual control, as women can no longer automatically position themselves optimally.
