Day of Defeat Is a first-person shooter with multiplayer, released as a modification of Half-Life 2. The plot is based on the events of World War II. A total of 15 maps are available for passing.
The game has 4 modes. “Conquest” is about capturing enemy flags - some of them can be picked up by 1 player per second, while others require more time and team members. The banners differ in color: gray - do not belong to anyone, red - occupied by the Nazis, green - the United States. In "Capture the target" you need to occupy an enemy transport or building, and "Capture the object" requires you to steal secret documents. In "Destruction" it is necessary to undermine the objects assigned to the enemy.
Several additional features have appeared in character control. Now the hero is able to accelerate for a short period of time, while spending a strip of breath. Firing from a prone position reduces recoil and increases the effectiveness of certain types of firearms. Weapons and ammo are dropped, so teammates will pick them up from the ground. A grenade thrown by an enemy can be returned back in 5 seconds - if you don't hurry, the projectile will explode in your hand.
In addition to the side (Allies and Wehrmacht), the player chooses a class from 6 available. The light infantry specializes in long-range combat, with the Germans using a manual-reloading K98k rifle, and the Americans using the semi-automatic M1 Garand. Stormtroopers are able to cover their comrades with a smoke screen and show themselves best in fights. Support is a versatile class that carries a medium weapon and 2 grenades. Snipers are good at destroying single targets from long range with a rifle with a telescopic sight. The machine gunners fire in a wide area, but are vulnerable to side attacks. Rocket men have the most powerful weapons in their arsenal, but firing requires preparation.
