Don King Presents - Prizefighter features a dynamic control scheme, where the face buttons can be used to throw a variety of punches, including jabs, crosses, hooks and uppercuts. You can also vary your attacks by pulling the right trigger and throwing punches to the body. Incorporating the right bumper into the mix allows for powerful punches on the move, while combining it with the left analog stick results in strategic attacks, expanding your offensive options. This innovative approach moves away from traditional 2D boxing games and offers a true 3D plane, allowing for a wider range of angles for effective striking. For defensive maneuvers, you can use a high or low block by manipulating the right analog stick. Holding the left trigger allows you to duck, turn, and lean with the left analog stick, even allowing you to block while performing these evasive maneuvers. Also, quickly double-tapping the left analog stick in any direction will trigger a sprint, providing a quick evasive technique that allows you to precisely dodge incoming blows. Each fighter is governed by three important stats: health, stamina, and adrenaline. The health meter depletes with every hit landed, but clever defensive play can gradually regenerate it throughout the round. While some health is restored between rounds, the bar dwindles as the fight progresses, highlighting the toll taken by constant damage.
