Draft of Darkness is a survival horror in which you need to collect a deck of various cards. They represent a set of abilities of different types that need to be used in the process of fighting monsters. The combat system is based on the principle of a real-time strategy, where the gamer controls the entire squad in turn, after which the turn goes to the opponent. Due to the use of roguelike mechanics, the game has constant procedural generation of both locations and maps, so you can assemble truly unique builds and try all sorts of combinations at your own discretion, based on the available options.The single-player campaign takes place in an alternative post-apocalyptic world. The user will spend most of the time in a small town, which is constantly changing with each restart. Exploring the mutilated settlement, you can often stumble upon other survivors who are available to join the squad for a joint journey. They have their own maps and a set of characteristics, so you should choose a team member wisely to extract maximum benefit.The project has a permanent death system. This feature forces the player to start over after the death of the squad, but all previously obtained cards remain, so you can reassemble the starting builds and try to complete the tasks again. The variability of the storyline is reflected in the fact that the player must make decisions independently at certain moments that are chosen by the game. They are also randomly generated and have a strong influence on how the passage ends.
