Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna is an add-on to the game of the same name, adding a new mission to it and expanding the possibilities. Objectively, it can be considered an independent part. The plot involves the development of events in the northwestern part of Aranna - the fictional continent of the specified application. Lord Hardison Don summons the protagonist to the palace and asks him to help get rid of the fierce ghosts that have captured warehouses with supplies located on the northern outskirts of the city. The protagonist of Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna sets off on a journey, but soon it turns out that one of the caravans heading to the city was robbed by unknown people. Among other things, a valuable item was stolen — the Staff of Stars. Its new owner is now an evil demon of the world of the dead, named Sliding in the Shadows. Long ago, he was captured by the Utreans — an ancient and technologically advanced race. Thus, the protagonist receives a new task — to find the lost value and return it to its rightful owner. The search expedition is full of difficulties and unexpected adventures. On the way, the warriors encounter antagonists. The greatest danger is posed by the lizard-like saurasks and gassats, outwardly resembling wild cats. To penetrate enemy territory, the heroes need to engage in battle with them. After this, the protagonists save the city of Illikore, which belonged to the Utreans, and which remained intact despite the battles. The Lord of Death Kikatrix and Emperor Nossiroma are overthrown and destroyed. At the end of the mission, the characters finally reach the sacred mountain called Crete, where the Great Clock is located. It is here that the Shadow Slider awaits them, and with whom the final battle unfolds. After the victory, the Staff of Stars is found and returned to the city.
