Geneforge 1 is an open fantasy world where the player is practically unlimited not only in movement, but also in the choice of the storyline. Exploring new lands, capturing territories or studying the local flavor and the secrets that it holds, all this is available almost without restrictions. According to the plot, the main character is thrown onto a mysterious island, about which he knows practically nothing and is just beginning to delve into its secrets and mysteries. The protagonist is also not an ordinary person, but one of the wizards, possessing the strongest magic, capable of creating everything that may be needed during a long journey: from a simple working tool to a full-fledged army or ferocious monsters subject to the will of the Creator. But not everything is so smooth. There are people who want to steal the player's priceless knowledge and strength in order to use them for their own cruel purposes. But the player will have to choose the method of confronting them on his own.In terms of gameplay, Geneforge 1 will make experienced gamers remember the dawn of turn-based RPGs, and for beginners it will be an excellent starting experience. The game has a relatively simple and intuitive gameplay, the training of which occurs gradually upon the arrival of the main character on the island. The ability to pick up items and search for the necessary resources to improve skills as you explore the map can take quite a long period of time, but nevertheless help the Creator become many times stronger and easily close all available content.
