Half-Life: Alyx is the first game from Valve, released specifically for virtual reality glasses. The plot of this part developed between the events of the first and second parts of Half-Life. HL: Alyx is a first-person shooter for a girl named Alyx Vance. She and her father Eli were exiled to the city for increased control by the Alliance over them. Alyx and Eli did not want to put up with the harsh realities, so they actively studied the weaknesses of the Alliance, which provoked unwanted attention to themselves. Having been captured, Alyx is saved thanks to her partner Russell, and her father is sent to a maximum security colony, where he is in danger. This is where the main plot of Half-Life: Alyx begins. The Half-Life universe has always been able to surprise the player with its plot, graphics and mechanics. And the game Half-Life: Alyx is no exception. It became a real breakthrough in the VR industry. Formally, this part is not a continuation of the sequel, but a prequel to the previous parts. Its plot was able to clarify many moments from the past and look at history differently. How Half-Life Alyx bypassed the previous two parts:
- The first game in this universe to receive a score of 93. Critics have rated its pros and cons. According to experts, it can be understood that the game has significantly more pros than cons.
- Took 25th place among highly rated PC games of 2020. The plot and presentation of the game are presented in an accessible way. Due to significant pros, the game was able to take a fairly high place.
- Second place in the ranking of games for VR. An impressive indicator, because for Valve this is the first game with the ability to immerse yourself in virtual reality from the first person.
Throughout the game, Alyx Vance fights a race of cruel aliens who want to destroy the planet. She is trying to save not only her father, but the whole world. After all, she is the last hope for salvation. Having created all the necessary tools to fight against the aliens, she throws down a real challenge to the Alliance.
