Hammer of the Gods

In Hammer of the Gods, you will have to take part in a full-scale and bloody war, where the most courageous and valiant warriors are helped by Scandinavian deities, and the winner will get a place in Valhalla itself. Before diving into the world of the game, you will have to choose a hero from the four classes presented: humans, elves, trolls and dwarves. Each class has its own warriors, characteristics, deities, requiring different goals to be achieved, having achieved which, the Gods present a certain gift (magic ships capable of covering distances by air, improved military units), helping in the further development of the lands. You can also choose a map: Europe in the Middle Ages 700 AD, or a randomly generated area. In any scenario, the game begins with a small town controlled by the player. The main activity in Hammer of the Gods is the construction of new buildings, optimization of vital functions of the state, development of the military industry, exploration and conquest of new lands. In addition to an aggressive policy, it is allowed to resort to diplomatic negotiations, create alliances with friendly neighboring territorial complexes. When the time comes for battle, a field opens up where opposing forces stand on both sides. The battles are turn-based, during which warriors move into close quarters for hand-to-hand combat, or at advantageous distances for long-range attacks using bows and arrows. There is musical accompaniment, diluting the general background.
