Event HeXen: Beyond Heretic takes place on the planet Kronos. This world was taken over by the second Serpentine heir, Corax. In Heretic, the player fought his brother D'Sparil. Before starting the passage, the user will choose one of 3 characters: a magician, a cleric or a warrior. The plot begins with telling the gamer that the main character is the only creature that has survived from his race.
But in this part there are 3 characters acting independently of each other. In a cooperative online passage, users are able to combine their efforts, but fight with a large number of rivals. The multiplayer adventure includes 4 participants at the same time. The gameplay was slightly tweaked and diluted the monotony of the first-person shooter. Here you will not only need to eliminate monsters and extraterrestrial creatures, but also solve puzzles, interact with the environment and look for secret places.
The developers have added the ability to return to previously passed locations. There are buttons on the levels that open doors around the world and sometimes you have to go back to see if any passage has opened. The game uses an improved DOOM engine that allows you to look around, up and down. 8 players can play on the network and fight among themselves. Compared to previous projects, expanded territories appeared here, flickering light, modified drops and pools of blood, and the ward learned to jump.
