Kodu Game Lab is a video game designer that allows young programmers and budding geniuses to create virtual worlds using a variety of devices and tools. The controls are intuitive, which allows you to get acquainted with this difficult task in a relaxed atmosphere and come up with your own mini-game, from going through a labyrinth to a survival shooter with many enemies and monsters. Some of the tools used by Kodu Game Lab:

• Ground brush - complements the relief, painting it in a certain color and expanding it. 120 color options are available, from green and stone, to birch and textured, and different types: square, circle, magic
• Changing the terrain - is divided into the creation of hills and valleys, mountainous terrain and smoothing out unevenness.
• Hand – adds and edits characters or objects.
• Moving the camera – useful for planning more detailed development and better understanding where to move new structures.
• Adding water – fills in limited spaces, allows you to add excitement or create waves.
• Changing world parameters – allows you to enter global rules for the environment: camera recoil force, sky type, resource display, and others.

All processes begin with the creation of the world, where you are asked to choose an empty map from three presented: a flat surface made up of several islands connected by bridges, or a sloping neighborhood. After building the environment, it is populated with units provided from the collection. Although they cannot be drawn manually, it is allowed to give them exceptional features, make them turn, attack, or greet the hero.
