Lemmings, a classic puzzle game featuring a series of levels divided into categories of varying difficulty. When a session begins, hatches open, releasing a procession of green-haired, blue-clad lemmings, marching one after the other in a determined march. The landscape is riddled with obstacles, ranging from treacherous cliffs to dangerous traps and pools of lava, which prevent the lemmings from advancing to the exit. The main goal in each level is to safely lead part of the lemming cohort from the entrance to the exit. Unless given a specific task, each lemming moves relentlessly, paying no attention to its fellows and changing its course only when faced with insurmountable obstacles. Characters face a variety of dangers, including fatal falls, drowning, encounters with traps or fire. The timer adds an additional level of difficulty: the user is assessed by the number of successfully saved heroes when time runs out. To complete the task at hand, gamers strategically assign skills to individual lemmings, with the available skills varying from one level to the next. Climbers, swimmers, bombers, blockers, builders, thugs, miners, and diggers comprise a range of skills, with each serving a unique purpose in overcoming obstacles. The key is to use these skills wisely to effectively manage the lemmings. Activating a timer adds an element of urgency, forcing the player to rescue the lemmings within a certain period of time.
